The information on this website has been currated by Dr. Locke who specializes in the treatment of genitourinary (prostate, bladder, kidney, testes and penile) cancers and gastrointestinal (Esophageal, gastric, liver, pancreatic, bile duct, colon, rectal and anal) cancers. It is based on current medical evidence, national and international clinical guidelines, and years of experience caring for patients with these cancers.
I completed a bachelor of science in Medical Biophysics at Western University. I then earned my Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University before completing my residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Toronto, where I trained at both Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Following residency, I completed a fellowship in Stereotactic Radiation Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital, with advanced training in precision radiation techniques for CNS, prostate and other cancers. I joined the Ottawa Hospital, as an staff radiation oncologist in 2022.
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics at the University of Ottawa and practice at The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. In addition to caring for patients in Ottawa, I also provide radiation oncology services to patients in Nunavut through the Qikiqtani General Hospital specialist outreach program.
I am an avid hiker and cyclist. I have travelled to more than 35 countries and have completed long distance back country hikes ranging from 125km to 160km in remote areas such as Nunavut and Greenland.
Dr. Locke and his wife are enthusiastic chinchilla parents to 4 Chinchillas: Pancake, Rocket, Butters and Potato.
